(note to those who actually read this: i posted this before on another blog, but i thought it was so blogworthy that i'm posting it again)

i wake up with him every morning. no, not anyone i'm dating. in fact, i don't even know him, but i hope to meet him someday. who is this mystery man you ask? none other than mr. david lee roth.

yes, diamond dave, the roth, or d-ro as he referred to himself once on air. in case you've been living under a rock, the departure of howard stern left a few open slots in the morning radio show host job market. and unless you're adam carolla or some dude that's filling in some of the midwest markets and you used to listen to stern, you're now listening to roth radio. some might use the words "a joke" or "really bad" to describe his show, but i'm rooting for him. i'm not sure why, but i hope he actually succeeds in radio. maybe it's because i'm still mad at van halen for replacing him with sammy hagar who was replaced by gary charone. or maybe i just love listening to his crazy off topic tangents.
sure the first few hundred times that he talked about his life as a nyc emt, it was a little annoying. but now i'm just fascinated. and i like hearing that his favorite place to go is mcdonald's on the lower east side. and i like that his radio show is pretty much about nothing. kinda like seinfeld. in fact, maybe he's just the seinfeld of radio. which would pretty much make him awesome. seinfeld was genius, and thus is david lee roth.
