i'm like most people. i have a gym membership that doesn't get used as often as i'd like. sure i tell people "i go to the gym". but the last few months, i'm lucky if i go once a week.
so i decided to change my routine. for the month of june, i thought i would be bold and go at least 5 times a week. that's right, i said at least. i've actually been pretty successful, but no more than 5 times. my body didn't agree with the plan i came up with and gave out on me.
so this morning i didn't get up to go to the gym. i was pretty pissed at myself. i didn't have to go into work until early afternoon, so there was no excuse. the gym sucks in the morning cause you have to get out of bed earlier. but that's the hardrest part. once you get out of bed, it's all downhill from there. even the workout isn't bad. and the best part, once you're done, it's over and you don't have to worry about hitting the gym after work!
so this morning i didn't get out of bed. so i brought my stuff with me to go after work. i forgot how much i HATE THE GYM AFTER WORK. it's so crowded. every machine is taken. there's a wait for everything. there's not even enough room to stretch. so instead of my 30 minutes of elliptical or treadmill, i had to settle for the stairmaster, which was a nice change i guess, but it threw my whole routine off. therefore, i don't feel i had a good workout.
with that said, i must figure out a way to cure my love for my bed in the morning so i can force myself to go before work! but i'll still hate it.
