last night a colleague of mine gave me a call with an offer for last minute tix to go see fiona apple at central park summerstage. i knew my co-worker N was dying to go, so we scooped up the tickets and went to see the show. it was outdoors, and although it was slightly hot, it was the perfect night for an outdoor concert. she did a great job of singing her new stuff ("not about love", "extraordinary machine") and old stuff ("fast as you can", "shadowboxer", "criminal"). she put on a great set, which lasted about an hour and a half. all in all a wonderful show.





although i noticed that she sorta looks like some other ladies.
