in the wake of the heatwaves hitting nyc and the rest of the country, the corporate office sent us an e-mail in what we can do to conserve energy. here's just a little excerpt:
*Turn off all non-essential lighting in offices, conference rooms, etc.
*Turn off all non-essential equipment (TVs, radios, etc.) in offices, common areas, etc.
*Turn off all lights when you leave your office for an extended period of time
*Unplug phone/BlackBerry chargers when not in use
*Lower window blinds in offices, conference rooms, etc.
wow. apparently we have to be reminded of using common sense in an e-mail. i guess they're just trying to make up for the thousands of computers, tvs, and beta decks that are turned on 24/7.
al gore would be so proud of our concious efforts.
