another year has come to an end, and a friend of mine sent an e-mail assessing and reviewing her 2006. so i thought i'd do the same.

overall, it wasn't a bad year. not the best year, but not bad. i started off the year in las vegas and lost my cell phone. not the best way to start off the new year, but not the worst. i got promoted at work. sadly, i found out that my cousin's baby accidentally drowned. i went on a wonderful vacation to los angeles and visited friends in april. found out my dad had been diagnosed with cancer. flew to san francisco for a job interview. got a wonderful and adorable cocker spaniel and named him "fozzy". made my "acting" debut as an extra on an episode of the sopranos (which will air this month on hbo). did some p.a. work for the upcoming season of american idol. celebrated my 26th birthday. crashed at my old roommates apartment for two months while i searched for a new place to live. moved to manhattan for the first time since i graduated college 4 years ago. found out my dad won this round against his cancer. saw my family in texas for thanksgiving. and sadly, my last living grandparent died in the last days of 2006. but overall, i've been surrounded by friends and family for the good and more importantly, they've helped me get through the bad. and i love them for it.

my last night of 2006 was spent in the east village with a quick dinner at san loco followed by a few hours of open bar at ice bar with friends. then went to a stranger's apartment for an after party. yelled at some girls for trying to take a cab that my friends and i were trying to get. finally made it home. happily took my heels off and threw them on the floor. and today was mostly spent in and out of naps. 2007 is off to a lazy start, but i hope to make the best of this year. and i hope to keep and maintain current friendships, and hopefully make a few new ones.
