america is one of the fattest nations in the country without question. but where do americans rank in the grand alcoholic scale? if you know of the results, please let me know. but until then, i think a way we can raise our profile on this issue is by playing more beer pong and beirut.

one of my friends invited me to play in a tournament this saturday at a bar on the upper east side. of course, there is a waiting list. so if the other 42 teams on the waitng list decide to bail, we're in! although it did state in the registration page that about 30 teams usually don't show up, which pushes up all the waiting list peeps up. and i definitely wouldn't expect all the waiting list people to show up, so maybe we have a chance. at the same time, i'm not sure why i'm praying that i get to start drinking at 2:30 in the afternoon. although if i don't play, i can just watch the saints/bears game in the afternoon (although truth be told i'm more excited about the pats/colts game later that day).

so here's to the next great american sport. i mean, they made a movie about beer. and i'm sure a professional league exists.
