this weekend, my friend J and i were supposed to go to chicago and visit a friend of ours that had moved there. we were looking forward to the time away from the city, the green river, the all-day drinking in the pubs of wrigleyville. of course, little did we know that mother nature had a different plan in store for us. after being nearly 65 degrees just two days before, a huge snow storm hit the northeast on friday and cancelled all flights out of nyc. so needless to say, i was grounded in nyc.

so i went to a few different bars in nyc with my friends. i genuinely had fun and actually forgot about how pissed i was that i was supposed to be in chicago. at least jetblue was nice enough to refund the full amount of my fare so i could use it for a future flight to the windy city. hopefully i'll get that mini-vacation in april or may.
