It seems that all anyone is talking about lately is the economy, so why is money still such a tough topic to discuss with your nearest and dearest? They say married couples fight over money more than anything else, but what about when you just started dating? That's possibly even more awkward...
it's an interesting article and worth the read. however, here's where i have a slight issue. assuming the other person pays, here's what said article suggests:
What to say: "That's so generous of you -- can I at least leave the tip?"
i've asked a few of my guy friends, and MOST of them HATE this. why, you ask? most of them say that if they're paying for it, they can surely agree an extra couple bucks for the tip. they say they'd rather you suggest splitting the bill, even if they plan on footing the whole thing. it's the whole "thought that counts" thing.
so basically, i'm still confused.
