a lot of you have probably seen the "bizarre" joaquin phoenix interview with david letterman from wednesday, 2/11/09. if you haven't, you've been living under a rock, but here it is anyway.
so i've heard joaquin is doing this whole borat-like stunt (hence the "rap" career and all). but seriously guys, dr. drew is concerned:
Make no mistake Joaquin Phoenix is not a hoax. This man is seriously ill and his life is in danger. Stand by for trouble.
how do you "stand by" for trouble? what does that even mean?

I am extremely worried about Mr. Pheonix. I watched his brother die exactly the same way and I cannot believe that everyone is so busy worring about whether this is real, when in the meantime we can loose another lost sole! I am unable to do anything to help. I feel like a helpless standbyer watching someone jump off a cliff.
It was so awfull when River died. I can't stand to see this again. Where are his family and friends??
You should all be ashamed if you do not intervene!!!
