today the MTA board is voting on proposed fare hikes for metrocards, metro north, LIRR, and tolls on bridges and roads. as if that weren't enough, they want to cut the number of trains and buses that run.
so like so many, if you live in NY state, i urge you to contact your local state senators to ask them to have albany help the MTA financially. don't know your state sentor? look it up here
the idea of monthly metrocards going up from $83 to $103 a month is ABSURD. especially in this economy. so e-mail or call your senators! i did!
