even at a year old, i fuckin' rocked out. and my dad rocked shorts that were inappropriately too short (but in style back then).
a week or two ago i posted a few pictures of the puppy that my dad, stepmom, and sister are getting (half-sister if you want to get technical, hence why she's so much younger than me).
anyway, dad sent a photo update, which means new photos of rocky and the family! i think rocky's only 5 weeks old, so it's still gonna be a few weeks before my family can take him home. but in the meantime, lots of cute puppy photos to come!
alright people, this is getting out of control. i'm not trying to underestimate the seriousness of this virus, but just WASH YOUR DAMN hands and practice a sanitary lifestyle and you should be fine. but you wouldn't be able to tell from looking at these photos from around the world.

so it's been about 2 weeks since i cut my hair and i'm FINALLY getting used to it. i've worn my hair curly ONCE in that time, and only because it was raining and i really stand no chance against mother nature. however, today i feel like i finally am getting the hang of it and am happy with the curly 'do.

and no, before you say anything, my hair ISN'T blue. i think it's just a combination of the way the sun is hitting my hair and that bright blue shirt i'm wearing. all in all, i'm in love with it. if you're in the need of a good hair stylist, head over to the maria mok salon in the east village and ask for jessica. she was AMAZING.
i can't even take how adorable these photos are
breaking news! my dad, stepmom, and sister are getting a puppy. right now, the lab is only 3 weeks old and they have decided they're gonna name him rocky. yeah, sorta kinda generic, but my sister named him and she's 7. it could've been worse. she could've named him something like "jonas brothers", "zac efron" or "hannah montana".
so here's the rocky in all his adorable glory. your heart will explode:

yesterday, the biggest european fashion import since H&M hit NYC. i can't believe that years ago, there was actually this much excitement over the fact that H&M arrived in the U.S. and in fact, i'm sure we'll feel the same about topshop soon enough. but yes, topshop finally opened it's doors in NYC and it was a MADHOUSE.

sometimes when i'm on the phone with my dad, he asks "how much is gas in nyc right now?" and 9 times out of 10, i have no idea. mostly because i don't have a car (duh). but every once in a while i'll walk by one of the few gas stations that exists in manhattan.

i know it's hard to see, but regular gas is running $2.29/gallon. when i called my dad to tell him this he was like, "that's not bad. it's $1.89/gallon here." (sidenote: my dad lives in south texas) Labels: family, gas prices, new york city, photos
protester at G20 + stormtrooper helmet x pink= genius protesting!
i know spring technically started last week, but i feel mother nature has yet to bring spring to nyc. however, this morning at boot camp, the sun was shining brightly and i actually took off my fleece. also, i saw these tulips at the deli on my way home. when they start selling tulips and daffodils at the deli, you know it's springtime in new york city.

this is the face of a dog who just farted
he's not as innocent as he looks. man, it was a smelly one. my dog is gross sometimes.
these photos are from the park a mere block from my apt. i'm all for awareness on social issues, but c'mon. if you're gonna do it, do it right.
just a mural by keith haring on my way home from work
just another day of walking down the white house hallways
a look at the early morning snow from my doorstep.
[ed note: i got an application for my iphone that lets me upload photos or text to my blog. unfortunately, i can't do both at the same time, hence this photo originally posted without a description]
