clairvoyant she was not

the other day, as a part of the field shoot i was on, i got a reading from someone who can read tarot cards...or so i thought. the reason the producer had me do it was because hey, it's one less release form to worry about.

i always thought it would be fun to indulge in a tarot card reading. i guess it would be...if you actually thought the person knew what the hell they were talking about.

here are some of the magical things she saw in my future:
-i would be in a new relationship in the next 3 or 4 months
-i would have the first of 3 or 4 kids in 3 or 4 years (see a number pattern here?) apparently my first will be a boy.
-i will be married twice. maybe three times.
-i will venture into my own business in the next year or so...apparently i'm gonna start a fashion line.
-apparently i need to talk to my dad more

so okay, the relationship thing she said would be someone i know. not so far fetched. but the kids? seriously??? and i'm gonna end up in divorce...twice??!?!?!?! wtf? and the kicker was the "my own business" thing. sounds awesome. too bad i don't know a lick about the fashion industry or can't even sew to save my life. maybe she was reading into the fact that i like watching "project runway". and the thing about my dad...my dad and i have been the closest we've been for the last few years.

so needless to say, the reading sucked. and it wasn't just me. she was way off with the other producers too.

it reminded me of the time when i was about 10 years old and i went to new orleans with my mom and my brother. we went and saw a psychic while we were there. the lady totally predicted some stuff that ended up happening and within good timelines. she saw my brother leaving my mom to go live with my dad. she saw my mom moving back to dallas. she saw my mom's 2nd divorce. and she told me i was psychic through my dreams, i just didn't know how to control it. i'm still working on that last part. but she was pretty awesome.
