so labor day weekend marked the unofficial "end of summer". people went back to school or back to work after a long holiday weekend. or in my case, back to work after a month off. although i technically didn't have the month off, so the summer really did fly by.

thankfully i got to end it on a high note with my friends in fire island. the first night and next day were spent playing games and drinking, pretty much in that order. at night we would go to the bar/come back to the hotel and play games. during the day we would play games/go to the bar at night. oh yeah, and lots of eating in between. there was also a visit to the beach one day, but it was mostly spent drinking and playing.

sunday after the beach, we went to a nice dinner and decided on a pub crawl. i'm not sure if 5 bars consists of a pub crawl (since that's all that's in the town), but we made it work. i even met a guy (guy #1)that was really nice but really shady. the guy wasn't single, but his friend (friend #1) insisted that he was. friend #1 continued to tell me a story that guy #1 was in fact single, but that he wasn't over his ex-girlfriend. apparently guy #1's ex-girlfriend was on a wb show and is living in brooklyn and just had a baby and was nominated for an academy award this year. still can't figure it out? let's just call her jen lindley. so of course at this point i think this story is bogus. oh yeah, and they both work for jeremy piven. allegedly. i think i left sometime after those words were spit out of their mouth. but i did get a free shot out of it.

so after the weekend of friends, eating, partying, and booze, i returned to the real world. back to work. back to the daily grind. blah.
