the last few days i went back to texas for the thanksgiving holiday. i never realize how homesick i can get until i go home and see my parents and family and those few friends i keep in touch with.

even though i was there for about 3 1/2 days, it felt like 3 1/2 hours. it went by so quickly. but i guess that's how the trips usually go. so many people to try and see in such little time.

i did get to spend lots of time with my family and with one of my oldest childhood friends. we used to talk all the time on the phone, but now our phone conversations seem few and far between. despite that, every time we talk, we pick up right where we left off and can have a conversation for hours, which is exactly what we did. and what made that conversation even better was the fact that our beers were so damn cheap! i love drinking in texas.

he told me a hilarious story involving a bachelor party and strippers. it might be the best story i've heard in 2006. i told him i would write about it, but i'm not sure i can do it justice. so i'm gonna have to save that post for a later time to make sure i have all the details as best as i remember them.

until then, back in the city. back to work tomorrow. *sigh*
