last friday i received an e-mail about low fares from nyc to dfw. so the low fare with the fact that my mom's birthday was that weekend and it would get me out of nyc for a bit, i decided to jump at the opportunity.

i'm not sure if it was the fact i didn't go home for christmas or if i was more homesick than i thought or what, but i had SO much fun in dallas this weekend. i got there saturday night and went out. sunday i hung out with my mom all day for her birthday and my aunt & uncle that night. and monday was a dinner with mom & friends, then out in addison with my cousin and long lost friends from junior high school. i literally hadn't seen these guys in about 11 or 12 years. this texan loves the city, but she misses the big D as well.
