so my friend M and i went to the yankee game last night. i was excited for a few reasons:

1) M, not a yankee fan, was completely open to the idea and gave in to my desire for partial season tix. so this was huge. on a side note though, M is moving away next year, so we're using that excuse as to why he bought the tix (not because he's secretly turning into a yankees fan).

2) it was the last game in the series opener.

3) baseball is here again! it's like the happiest months of my life!

so we make our way to yankee stadium after a lazy 4 train takes it sweet time in getting us there. as soon as we stepped outside it was like we got bitchslapped in the face by the wind. boy was it cold outside! nevertheless, i was so happy. baseball! yankees! hot dogs! beers!

i took out $80 from the ATM yesterday, and left the stadium with $30. we quickly came to the realization that we'd spend way more on food and beverages this season than we did on our actual tickets.

as for the game, it was cold, and the yankees lost. but yankee stadium is a staple of new york life. i'm excited for the rest of the games this season.
