after a night of barbeque and drinking, we get up around 9am on saturday morning to head down to san onofre state beach. it's south of newport, but north of san diego. here's what the ocean looked like:


it was a little overcast when we got there, but it turned out to be a beautiful day. all the guy went surfing. i waited until K (girl 1) and A got back. which turned out to work out since the water warmed up quite a bit. after lunch, i put on a wetsuit and went back into the water with amber. here's a picture of me practicing my surfing on the sand.

now it was my first time surfing, and i can't say i did much of it. most of my time was spent paddling and trying to lift myself up. of course, i managed to get up a single time, which i was happy with. i had fun nonetheless. i'd definitely do it again.

we made it back to manhattan beach around 4:30-ish. K (girl 2) left to get ready to go to the flip cup tournament in hollywood. the rest of us were gonna go, but decided to stay local that night. i called my friend TJ and he met up with us in MB. we went to some mexican restauarant named panchos (not to be confused with the crappy chain that i used to love going to in junior high). it was actually a really nice restaurant. after dinner, TJ, K (girl 1), A, and K's boy toy and i all chilled at her apt for a bit then went over to sharkeez, the local bar. things got a bit crazy there. the neighbors hung out with us. body shots were done. drinks were drank. people got stupid. here's a picture of A with two of the neighbors:


it was another late night, but so much fun. i've missed it everyday since i got back.
