for as long as i've been alive, my mom's side of the family has always celebrated christmas on christmas eve. it works out perfectly b/c then we spend christmas day with my dad's family.
so here is christmas (eve), part 1, in photos:
i can't believe i didn't take a photo of the actual meal, but i did manage to take a photo of the wonderful appetizers my mom made. mini quiches and empanadas. yummy.
ahhh, picture perfect. all that's missing are the chestnuts.

...a few of my gifts. an awesome scarf, gloves, and my brand new dkny coat! i also got the obligatory jammies (or two), football clothes, and some shirts. considering i don't really expect much as far as christmas gifts go (i am 28 after all), i got a lot more than i expected. the only thing i asked for was a pair of gloves since i always lose mine. my mom spoils me, and i love her for it.
